Singapore Youth Big on Online Communication
My Paper published a Synovate survey released yesterday that showed that Singapore youth are among the region’s top bloggers, social networkers and gamers. They spend about nine hours every day, compared to the regional average of 6.8 hours, on the Internet and television.
Synovate surveyed over 13,000 people aged eight to 24 years old on their media-consumption habits. Among them, 940 were Singaporeans.
When interviewed, Microsoft Advertising’s trade marketing manager for Southeast Asia, Mr Geert Desager said, “It’s strange that firms here spend only 2 per cent of their ad budget on advertising online when Singapore is one of the most connected and educated places in the world.” Read more >>
